The tragic demise of former Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Dr. Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Doreen Chizoba, and their first son, Chizzy, has left a profound impact on the nation. Following a poignant funeral service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Isiokpo, the bodies were laid to rest in the private mausoleum on Saturday afternoon, around 2:45 pm. Tears flowed freely as the family members and loved ones bid their final farewells to Dr. Wigwe, his wife, and son.
The tragic helicopter crash in California, near the Nevada border, claimed the lives of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, Doreen Chizoba, Chizzy, as well as other prominent individuals, including the Chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo. In the wake of this devastating loss, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has pledged unwavering support for Wigwe University, honoring Dr. Wigwe’s legacy and contributions to education.
